Addressing the needs of young talent and supporting talented, committed restoration students is a major concern of the Association of Conservators.

Description

Since this winter semester, the Association of Conservators has been implementing a great initiative to promote young talent: the Deutschlandstipendium, in which scholarship holders receive monthly financial support, half of which is financed by the federal government and half by the VDR.

Over the next 6 years, the VDR will award a total of 12 scholarships to all universities with restoration courses in Germany. The second Germany Scholarship this year goes to Desirée Kosel, who is studying conservation and restoration of wood at the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences. The restorers in training (RiA) in the VDR and the VDR Executive Committee are delighted to be able to present the scholarship to the Master's student in person at denkmal.
